EXPLORE THE Powderworks Tour 110 C2
The Powderworks Tour 110 C2 occupies a unique space in DPS' standard Pagoda Tour offerings. They consider the Pagoda Tour 106 C2 to be the true do-it-all touring and mountaineering ski. It’s a ski that gives you confidence regardless of the conditions, from steep refrozen ice to variable powder and crust. Conversely, the 112 RP is more of a soft snow focused ski, at home skiing endless powder laps in the trees on a storm day, or skipping over the mashed potatoes at the end of your day. The Powderworks Tour 110 C2 is like the 112 RP’s buff brother, with a bigger turn radius and much higher speed limit. It sacrifices a bit of the nimbleness that the 112 RP has, but with its wider waist and bigger tip, it’s much floatier.
Powderworks skis represent a space that allows for cutting-edge creativity, progressive shapes, and experimental R+D efforts. Unrestrained by traditional ski construction, these designs are born from a fleeting moment on a memorable chairlift ride—then slowly brought to life in the R+D lab beginning that very evening. A small batch of Powderworks monikered skis are built every year for core members of skiing’s culture, whose lives revolve around their next epic powder turn.
Pagoda Tour
Following the highly acclaimed launch of DPS' performance-focused tour construction technology in 2020, this year they are introducing the second generation of the Pagoda Tour Construction. While still maintaining the industry’s lightest performance-to-weight ratio, this new generation of touring skis are damper and more stable than previous iterations. Primarily due to their new Third Rail Technology, this new and improved platform is also more durable than its predecessor, due to improved integration between the hybrid wood/foam core and their new bio-based sidewall material. This new Algal Sidewall Technology features 63 percent bio content sourced from a microalgae. This bio-oil is derived and formulated for its damping characteristics, bend strength, impact resistance, machinability, and bonding -- resulting in a highly customizable, more environmentally friendly material that they use to create more stable and durable skis. Utilizing their new Third Rail technology and better sidewall integration, Gen 2 Pagoda Tour skis are damper and more stable, more durable, and a step forward on their journey toward better sustainability.
